Selective by design

Not every project qualifies

NDC commits its name, founding partners and execution capacity selectively. The developer, SPV and project must all meet clear institutional standards before an opportunity proceeds.

The qualification gate

Seven criteria, three outcomes

  1. NDC Qualification GateThe developer, SPV and project must all meet clear institutional standards before an opportunity proceeds.
  2. 01Developer & sponsor credibilityTrack record, authority, transparency, financial standing and commitment to execution.
  3. 02Clear ownership & mandateLand, development, operating or decision rights must be documented and verifiable.
  4. 03Governable SPV structureOwnership, decision rights, funding obligations, reporting and risk allocation must be transparent.
  5. 04Technical & regulatory feasibilityEngineering, approvals, utilities, site conditions and delivery risks must withstand independent review.
  6. 05Commercial & operational logicDemand, capital requirements, operating model and the path to value must be credible.
  7. 06Measurable development valueThe project must deliver identifiable economic, environmental or social outcomes — not sustainability language alone.
  8. 07Clear NDC contributionNDC must have a necessary and defined role in structuring, integrating, governing or executing the project.

The three outcomes

Proceed

The opportunity advances into formal assessment and project structuring.

Hold

Additional evidence, rights or stakeholder alignment is required.

Decline

The opportunity does not meet NDC's standards.

Discipline in both directions

As disciplined about what it rejects

NDC protects its credibility by being as disciplined about what it rejects as what it accepts.
